Each drawer measures 43"W x 32"D x 1 1/8"H (ID), featuring label holders on the drawer fronts that are 3 5/16"W x 1"H (OD). Case-hardened ball-bearing nylon rollers provide smooth, quiet operation, while positive closures keep the drawers tightly shut and courtesy stops hold them in place when open. To keep the contents clean, the Flat File comes equipped with a rear hood and a hinged front depressor.

For added flexibility, the Flat File can be stacked up to 5 units on the Safco Products Closed Low Base Model 4997BLR (sold separately) or up to 2 units on the Safco Products Open High Base Model 4977BL (also sold separately). Additionally, the Safco Products optional Lock Kit, Model 4983 (sold separately), includes a lock and two keys for secure storage.
